Sr. Mechanical Engineer
to join the North American Hub of our Group Technology organization. This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art facility in Ranson, WV, requiring extensive travel. Relocation assistance to the Ranson, WV area is available. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. What You Will Be Doing You will be responsible for mechanical design, installation, commissioning, and running-in of process equipment and solutions, including supply strategy, dimensioning, and backup considerations. Projects must be delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Projects vary from small machine deliveries to large international greenfield factory projects, primarily in North America. Take full responsibility for project execution on site. Ensure necessary expertise from other departments (environment, safety, MMRs) is included in solutions. Supervise suppliers/contractors to ensure compliance with requirements. Ensure all documentation and reporting are completed, archived, and compliant with directives and Group Technology rules. Travel more than 100 days per year domestically and internationally, mainly to Europe, for training, project execution, and supplier coordination. Relocate to Washington State in fall 2025 for approximately one year for a new greenfield project. Participate in budgeting and develop tender materials for suppliers. Follow company policies on purchasing, confidentiality, and code of conduct. What You Bring A collaborative attitude with strong communication skills and decision-making ability to drive projects forward independently and with teams. Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering. 6+ years of relevant experience. Experience with site installation, mechanical design, machine construction, specifications, and 3D modeling (e.g., Inventor). Regulatory compliance experience. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to spend time at project sites and undertake temporary relocations. Desire to learn and contribute in a dynamic environment. Ability to travel approximately 60% domestically and internationally. Experience as a craftsman (smith, mechanic, etc.) is preferred.
