For more information, please visit saic.edu. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The Assistant Professor will engage in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, guiding students in their artistic and academic development. Responsibilities also include participating in curriculum development, contributing to departmental and school-wide service, and maintaining an active professional practice. Collaboration with faculty, administrative duties, and involvement in public programming are key aspects of this role. This position is based in Chicago, IL. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching art or design at the higher education level Strong background in curriculum development and academic advisement Active professional practice and a substantial portfolio of work Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field Seniority level
