As a Lead Software Engineer- Azure Services at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector- Infrastructure Platforms, you are an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced in one or more programming languages such as Python or Java Ability to design and engineer public cloud platform services Knowledge of Azure and Azure Services including IAM, Networking, Logging, Compute and storage services to build platform services and cloud governance process/services Ability to contribute to the development and architecture of a multi-cloud networks, ensuring high availability and scalability Knowledge of Cloud Application development using Azure Cloud services and ability to manage application infrastructure to meet the firm's controls on cloud security Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Experience with version control systems like Git and experience participating in code review / peer review processes Ability to Design and Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and experience with tools to support automated infrastructure deployment and provisioning

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate Azure Certified Solutions Architect or Administrator Expert Azure experience Experience with other public cloud platforms like AWS and GCP in addition to Azure
