Position Overview

As a key member of the North America Marketing leadership team, the Head of Brand Strategy will play a critical role in shaping Ralph Lauren's brand narrative and driving strategic initiatives that reinforce the company's leadership in the fashion and lifestyle space. This role is responsible for developing and executing innovative, 360° brand strategies that align with global brand values, resonate with consumers, and support long-term business growth across the North America region. This leader will translate cultural and regional insights, consumer behavior, and business priorities into compelling storytelling and breakthrough marketing campaigns and annual strategic plans. With a strong foundation in consumer insights, content development and deployment, brand strategy, project management, and cross-functional execution, the Head of Brand Strategy will ensure brand consistency and relevance across all touchpoints to drive growth for NAM.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Brand Strategy: Define and evolve Ralph Lauren's annual and 3Y brand strategy for North America. Identify opportunities to differentiate the brand and drive cultural relevance through bold, forward-thinking storytelling. Lead development of plans to win in key categories and white spaces. Develop a regional approach to resonate with consumers in key growth markets. 360° Marketing Leadership: Lead the development and execution of fully integrated campaigns across digital, retail, social, PR, experiential, and wholesale channels. Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of brand initiatives, ensuring clear timelines, resource alignment, and on-time delivery across multiple workstreams. Consumer Insight Integration: Lead consumer insights generation, market research, brand health studies, competitive and trend analysis to inform strategic priorities, brand messaging, and creative direction. Content Strategy & Orchestration: Partner with global brand team, creative agency and social media team to influence the creative briefs to ensure assets are fit for purpose in NAM. Ensure the development of compelling, insight-driven content that reflects Ralph Lauren's heritage while pushing creative boundaries across all platforms. Innovation Pipeline: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pilot new marketing formats, technologies, and experiences that elevate the brand. Financial Stewardship: Manage brand strategy budgets with a focus on ROI, resource optimization, and long-term value creation. Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and lead performance tracking for brand campaigns, using data and analytics to optimize strategies and demonstrate impact. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Creative, Product, Media, Digital, Retail, and Global Marketing teams to ensure cohesive execution of brand strategies. Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a high-performing team fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Experience

10+ years of experience in brand strategy, integrated marketing, or brand management, with 5+ years in a leadership role. Fashion, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands preferred. Strategic & Functional Skills: Passion for brand building, cultural relevance, and creative innovation. Proven success in leading 360° marketing campaigns initiatives, and developing long-range and annual business plans Deep understanding of consumer insights, market research, and data-driven strategy. Exceptional storytelling, communication, and presentation skills with executive presence. Financial acumen with experience managing large-scale marketing budgets, developing and evaluating KPIs and creating business cases to fund initiatives Strong project management skills with experience overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution. Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Comfort with highly complex, matrixed organization that requires strategic influencing for alignment and working through others.
