Data Engineer
to join our team in
Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting in the responsibility for the lifecycle of all data that enters the Insider Threat IT architecture. Helping facilitation of the ingest of data from external data sources, regardless of format or origin, for consumption by the data processing infrastructure. Maintaining the big data processing ecosystem, including COTS and GOTS hardware and software, from cradle to grave. Extract Transform Load (ETL) all arriving data to common database formats for use in advanced analytics. Diagnosing and resolving data integrity and data qualify issues, as well as, integrating new datasets as they are created and/or received. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other IT-related discipline and five (5) years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements. In lieu of a Bachelors: Associates degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements. Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification (CySA+ or equivalent) or ability to obtain one within 180 days. Experience with Python, SQL, and other applicable development/coding languages. Experience in systems development to include design, modeling, security integration and testing. Ability to travel domestically. Clearance Requirements: Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
