The successful candidate must be highly organized, self-starting and possess strong data extraction and analytical capabilities. They must have proven successes in driving operational initiatives and demonstrate passion for the customer experience. They must be fearless but thoughtful in their pursuit of results and thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
Strong candidates will have hands-on operations or inventory management experience and knowledge in fundamental business principles. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to succeed in managing a large catalog selection efficiently, identifying problems/finding solutions, and building/improving processes. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.
Key job responsibilities
Identifying and delivering improvement opportunities around demand and production planning Monitoring, analyzing and owning Vendor Key Performance Indicators such as: Out of Stock rate, Total Inbound lead time, confirmation rates, including presenting insights, themes and trends to Senior Leadership team. Strategically analyzing production and delivery lead-times, while optimizing operational excellence inputs such as EDI adoption, PO confirmations, efficient receive processes, and inventory placement. Spearheading initiatives to enhance cost structure and profitability, collaborating closely with partner teams to ensure successful execution.
About The Team
About the team: The Amazon Vendor Services program is a paid service that offers enrolled Selling Partners services in one of five major categories: (1) A designated Customer Success Manager, (2) Strategic business advice, (3) Support, (4) Supply Chain Manager, and (5) Programs, Pilots, Betas, and Advance Coaching. In this role, you will be a member of the Consumables team, and will provide Supply Chain expertise alongside a team of designated Account Managers supporting Vendor(s) within the Consumables categories. Consumables categories consist of Baby, Grocery, Health & Personal Care, Mass Beauty, Pets, and Premium Beauty. The role offers broad scope as the Selling Partners supported by this role may span numerous Brands, end Customer segments, and product categories.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 6+ years of proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex supply chain projects, preferably in a large-scale retail or e-commerce environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable supply chain strategies. Microsoft Excel and SQL preferred. Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with vendors and partners. Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, as well as a solid understanding of demand forecasting and inventory management principles. Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team toward achieving supply chain objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA/Master's Degree 7+ years of experience in inventory planning, operations/supply chain, retail, consulting, finance, and/or ecommerce, with a history of driving/owning results 3+ years of negotiations experience Demonstrates creative problem solving by adapting frameworks or existing best practices to solve problems in a unique way Strong proficiency in analytics tools including Microsoft Excel and SQ

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
