Quantitative User Experience Researcher
Minimum qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Five years of experience in an applied research setting or similar.
Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go).
Experience in experimentation.
Preferred qualifications :
Master's degree or PhD in Behavioral or Social Sciences with a focus on quantitative / computational methods (e.g., Psychology, Cognitive Science, Behavioral Science, Computational Social Science, Vision Science, Neuroscience, Data Science).
Seven years of relevant work experience leading original research across industry or academia.
Experience working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
Experience in advanced experimental design, metric development, and statistical analysis.
Ability to solve advanced research questions within a given domain, and technical tools for data analysis within that field.

As a Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Quant UXR), you'll inform your team of UXers, product managers, and engineers about user needs. You'll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You'll work with stakeholders across functions and levels, impacting all stages of product development. Your investigations will include logs analysis, survey research, path modeling, and regression analysis. You will combine skills in behavioral research design, statistical methods, and programming to enhance user experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges depend on role, level, and location. Responsibilities :
Set and lead an original research agenda using your and your team's expertise in behavioral science, cognitive science, vision science, data science, etc., to understand user interactions with Google's products and ads.
Identify, measure, and optimize factors influencing consumer sentiment and engagement.
Develop methods to quantify user phenomena like attention, perception, information processing, utility, attitude, and behavior.
Design, conduct, and analyze UX experiments, including in-product live experiments and controlled off-product experiments.
Collaborate with analysts and engineers to develop metrics frameworks, research tools, and data infrastructure for UX measurement.
Apply scientific and statistical judgment to produce insights and set standards for the research community.
