Job Description We are seeking a Senior Estimator with extensive experience in full-scope estimating for complex, multi-trade design-build and ground-up general contracting projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating medical, industrial, mixed-use, retail, and hospitality projects ranging from $5M to over $100M. This strategic role within our preconstruction team involves supporting pursuits, leading takeoffs, developing budgets, evaluating risks, and coordinating with project teams and partners to deliver winning proposals. Key Responsibilities Lead full-scope estimates from conceptual through GMP / hard bid for design-build and negotiated projects Prepare accurate and comprehensive quantity takeoffs and material pricing using estimating software Develop and maintain preconstruction budgets and milestone estimates Coordinate and lead subcontractor / vendor solicitations, RFPs, scope reviews, and bid evaluations Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and owners to validate scope, constructability, and cost impacts Support the development of value engineering options and alternate systems Participate in proposal development, bid strategy, and client presentations Maintain historical cost data, databases, escalation data, and benchmarking models Mentor junior estimators and collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and business development Conduct risk assessments, internal estimate reviews, and buyout strategies post-award Support design-assist projects, early-phase feasibility studies, and program-level budgeting Qualifications 10+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating for a general contractor Proven experience with ground-up, TI, and design-build projects in healthcare, industrial, retail, mixed-use, and hospitality sectors Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience with preconstruction for both public and private clients, including OSHPD / HCAI (a plus) Proficient in reading drawings / specifications and identifying scope gaps or inconsistencies Working knowledge of CSI divisions, general conditions, labor / equipment cost buildup, and logistics planning Familiarity with NetSuite, Procore, Bluebeam, and estimating tools (Accubid, PlanSwift, etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor, delegate, and drive execution across teams Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Additional Information Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 annually (commensurate with experience and location) Fully remote work opportunity (must reside in the U.S.) Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) PTO and paid holidays All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
