Job Overview: A well-established and growing law firm in Fairfax, Virginia is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of litigation experience. This position offers the opportunity to litigate in both state and federal courts with a strong focus on the intersection of criminal and immigration law. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocacy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage an active caseload. Training in related practice areas is available, making this an ideal role for a lawyer eager to expand their litigation skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Location: Fairfax, Virginia Duties: Represent clients in criminal and immigration-related litigation matters in state and federal courts Conduct client consultations, interviews, and meetings Manage an active caseload with minimal supervision in areas of prior experience Draft and file motions, pleadings, and discovery documents Communicate with clients, witnesses, expert consultants, opposing counsel, and government representatives Perform legal research on complex criminal and immigration issues Coordinate all aspects of case strategy and preparation Prepare legal documents, client statements, and official filings Advocate on behalf of clients with law enforcement and administrative agencies Requirements: 1–5 years of litigation experience Strong oral advocacy and courtroom skills Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills Willingness to work across both criminal and immigration law matters Must be detail-oriented and capable of handling high-stakes cases Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications: Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required) Skills: Litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy Legal writing and motion practice Complex research in criminal and immigration law Effective communication and client management Case organization and procedural accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Opportunities for training in related practice areas Exposure to both criminal defense and immigration litigation Supportive and mission-driven firm culture Company info BCG Attorney Search 1629 K ST NW, Suite 300 Washington District of Columbia United States 20006 Phone :
