Role Summary : M is rapidly growing by offering its differentiated products to high net worth (HNW) advisors that seek the best bespoke product options to support their holistic plans. M enjoys a unique position within the insurance marketplace to provide these RIA advisors with options they cannot get elsewhere. To drive these efforts, M seeks a strong business leader to carve a new growth channel to best position M for the future. Responsibilities: Responsible for building a new, high growth distribution channel for M in the high-net-worth wealth management and holistic planning marketplace through collaboration with internal M teams to: o Refine M's value proposition in the high-net-worth holistic wealth planning space o Identify insurance friendly RIAs, wealth planning networks/firms, and producers that are eager to grow in the high-net-worth space o Identify strategic partnership opportunities with institutions in the wealth management space o Partner with marketing to create a marketing strategy, content and delivery approach to engage firms to develop relationships and attract them to M o Establish a comprehensive firm/producer transition program to facilitate rapid growth within M, including capital to help bridge the transition period o Facilitate introductions of advisors/producers to existing M Firms and encourage groups of producers to coalesce and become an independent M Firm Responsible for building relationships with existing wealth-oriented Member Firms to determine their needs to grow in the wealth management and holistic planning space o Encourage/coach existing Firms to develop individualized RIA/wealth management growth plans leveraging M capabilities o Collaborate with a team of Wealth Solutions Consultants to drive asset growth with existing Member Firms through training/education and prioritization of their needs into delivery of new/improved M capabilities o Develop and maintain competitive intelligence capabilities regarding investment advisory tools and solutions available in the marketplace o Provide strategic and tactical input into holistic planning capabilities delivered through the core M support teams Ensure the Member Firm operational and technology experience is seamlessly integrated from the advisor perspective, including delivery of investment and insurance products in both commissions and fee-based structures Provide input and guidance into innovative and exclusive product solutions that leverage M’s unique development capabilities, focused on the intersection of investment and insurance products (e.g., investment offerings within life insurance and annuities) Develop an understanding of RIA structures, such as hybrid RIA/corporate RIA/independent RIA, and communicate the benefits and differences to existing and prospective firms Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, business, or related field preferred FINRA Series 66 license preferred Minimum of 15 years of experience in the wealth advisory space with deep life insurance knowledge and progressive responsibility Solid understanding of various wealth management platforms (e.g., Envestnet, eMoney, etc.) Established track record of developing deep RIA relationships that have incorporated insurance solutions as part of holistic planning – expertise in VUL insurance products preferred Strong communication skills with the dual ability to converse high level strategy as well as technical details depending on the audience; ability to effectively connect with executive and Member Firms Well-developed computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with M Team members, Member Firms, and M strategic partners Job Conditions & Environment: This position is based on-site at our offices in Uptown at the Quad in Dallas, TX with the flexibility to work one day per week remotely Normal office environment/desk assignment Travel approximately 30% of the time Extensive use of PC’s, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse Extensive hands-on work with documents, spreadsheets, and other written documents Equal Opportunity Employer
