What we are looking for Are you a skilled Cloud Security Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity to contribute to a complex, high-profile government program? We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Cloud Security Engineer, with expertise in cloud computing services, security controls, and data analytics infrastructure. What you will do... Implement and maintain security controls for cloud computing services such as AWS/C2S, Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, and VMware. Architect, design, and engineer cyber solutions focusing on security, authentication, identity management, authorization, and access control. Contribute to the engineering of a large Splunk Data Lake, supporting software design, development, and testing activities. Collaborate with technical representatives across divisions to build relationships and ensure effective communication on cybersecurity matters. Provide expertise in cloud security by achieving and maintaining AWS Certified Security Specialty (preferred). Contribute to SecDevOps methodologies, ensuring adherence to STIG compliance and vulnerability management. Utilize security tools including Nessus, Splunk, WebInspect, and Xacta. Engage in PKI implementation and manage virtualization experiences, including VDI and VMware. Work with public, private, and hybrid cloud environments such as AWS and Microsoft Azure. What you will bring Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Over 5 years of experience in engineering data analytics solutions, focusing on Splunk data lake infrastructure and enterprise IT situational awareness. Proficiency in cloud computing services such as AWS/C2S, Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, and VMware. Strong knowledge of cloud security controls and their implementation. AWS Certified Security Specialty certification preferred. Familiarity with cyber system engineering software products like SQL security, TANIUM Endpoint Management, PowerShell, McAfee, App Blocker, and Splunk ITSI. Experience with software development tools including Linux, Python, C, Bash, Perl, SQL, Splunk Phantom, UBA, and UIPath.
