Description
Chubb is seeking a Private/Not for Profit (PNP) Executive Underwriter to execute growth and underwriting strategies for the Birmingham Branch. This role involves working with local teams to achieve profitable results through the growth, development, and servicing of Private & Not-for-Profit business of all sizes.
The PNP book has a significant premium base in the region, generated from various trading relationships across five branches: Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa, Nashville, and Birmingham. The candidate must have a strong sense of responsibility to fulfill obligations with agency partners, build strong relationships with distribution partners, and effectively communicate with other business units to foster a mutually beneficial environment and grow Chubb's business profitably.
Responsibilities
Profitability and Production:
Contribute to the achievement of new and renewal business goals as outlined in the Financial Lines Branch plan.
Drive P&L accountability, including responsibility for premium, profitability, growth, retention, and expense management, with activities such as weekly projections and business planning.
Maintain profitability through underwriting integrity by adhering to standards and guidelines, including risk selection, pricing, terms, manuscript forms, and documentation.
Producer Management:
Partner with the local Chubb team to strengthen producer relationships and results.
Develop and implement new business strategies, including targeting key accounts.
Execute sales management processes and business plans for key producers.
Collaborate across business units to promote growth and cross-sell strategies within Financial Lines and other P&C teams.
Work with the Renewal Underwriting Service Branch to maximize efficiency and support new business generation, including leveraging online tools and pursuing small Financial Lines business with local sales reps.
Represent Financial Lines in the marketplace, engaging with brokers, customers, competitors, and industry organizations, and assuming a leadership role when appropriate.
