Ecological Project Manager

to join our growing team in either Tampa FL, West Palm Beach FL, or Orlando FL.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ecological professional to contribute to impactful projects while helping shape the future of a 100% employee-owned firm. In this role, you will focus on evaluating, protecting, and enhancing natural resources, managing projects from fieldwork to final reporting, and working closely with our engineers, scientists, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

Review, consult on, and manage wetlands and ecological-related projects for Whitestone clients. Conduct field investigations including wetland delineations, habitat evaluations, rare species and flora surveys, protected tree inventories, and habitat mapping. Prepare proposals, permits, reports, mitigation/relocation plans, and other documentation for wetland, ecological, and environmental projects. Conduct due diligence investigations. Prepare due diligence reports and regulatory agency submittals. Compile, analyze, and interpret ecological data for technical reports and environmental permit applications. Correspond and communicate with regulatory agencies and client representatives. Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and permitting requirements. Requirements

Bachelors degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field. 5-10+ years of demonstrated experience with wetland delineation, ecological assessments, permitting, and mitigation/relocation. Proficiency in ArcMap and GPS technology. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record. Willingness to travel for fieldwork as needed. Strong regulatory knowledge. Preferred Certifications

Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent Certified Associate Wildlife Biologist Qualified Stormwater Management Inspector Certified Crested Caracara Observer Benefits:
