Title : Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift Location : Skokie, IL Hire Type : Direct Hire Schedule : Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM Salary : $30-$35/hr. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment, machinery, and building facilities to support production needs and ensure quality compliance. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and facility systems, who takes pride in preventing downtime and improving efficiency. Job Duties :

Provide technical support for manufacturing maintenance and repairs, including robotics, CNC, tooling, wire EDM, facilities, mechanical, electrical, machine operations, tool & die, and quality assurance Perform scheduled preventive maintenance according to safety requirements and work instructions Troubleshoot and repair machinery, equipment, and building systems (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting) to reduce production downtime Complete job safety checklists and take corrective action to ensure safe operations Ensure quality and conformity of manufactured parts, coordinating PPAP measurements as needed Promptly report quality issues and shut down equipment or areas if problems cannot be resolved Identify process and equipment inefficiencies and recommend improvements Perform other duties as assigned within training and knowledge scope Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional technical training or certifications required for specialty areas Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, maintenance manuals, and safety guidelines Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience in preventive maintenance programs and equipment repair Knowledge of industrial facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical) Safety-conscious with knowledge of OSHA and plant safety regulations Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team Willingness to support operations in different technical areas as needed
