About Emblaze Academy:

Emblaze Academy Charter School is a middle school in the South Bronx committed to academic excellence, strong character development, and preparing all students to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. We are seeking a creative and strategic freelance Digital Marketing Specialist to help grow our online presence, engage with our community, and drive student recruitment through both paid advertising and organic social mediaespecially on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Google.

Scope of Work

Paid Advertising (Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads):

Set up and manage targeted advertising campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and Google. Define and refine audience targeting to maximize ROI and lead generation. Create compelling ad creatives, including video, image, and text-based assets. Conduct A/B testing to improve ad performance and engagement. Manage ad budgets and ensure effective allocation of funds. Analyze campaign results and provide clear performance reports. Organic Social Media (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook):

Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with school events and messaging goals. Create engaging, culturally relevant content (videos, graphics, photos) optimized for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Post regularly and manage community engagement (comments, messages, etc.). Ensure a consistent brand voice and tone across all platforms. Strategize and execute content that promotes school culture and drives interest from prospective families. Identify trends and incorporate them into TikTok and Instagram Reels content. Grow audience reach and increase engagement across platforms. Lead Generation Focus:

Design and implement lead capture strategies, such as landing pages, lead forms, and newsletter sign-ups. Track, analyze, and report on lead quality and conversion rates. Continuously refine efforts to improve lead generation performance. Reporting and Communication:

Provide regular updates on campaign and content performance. Attend one weekly check-in with the School Leader (remote or in person/ flexible). Participate in a once-monthly meeting with the School Leader and a Board Trustee to report on marketing progress and lead generation. Be responsive to feedback and ready to adjust strategy when needed. Communicate via email, phone, or project management platforms (e.g., Slack, Asana) Qualifications:

Proven experience managing digital marketing campaigns, especially for educational or mission-driven organizations. Strong content creation skills for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, including short-form video editing. Proficiency with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, Canva (or similar tools), and analytics platforms. Excellent written communication and visual storytelling skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to feedback. Passion for educational equity and alignment with Emblaze Academys mission.
