Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Oracle Database Administrator
with at least
10 years of hands-on DBA experience
supporting Oracle environments on
AIX, UNIX, and Linux . This role is focused on
administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and high-availability database solutions
for enterprise-scale e-commerce environments. You will lead and coordinate database design, implementation, and ongoing support, working in a
24x7x365 production environment
with on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for complex Oracle database environments. Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and tune
Oracle 12c and 19c
databases, including
RAC
and
ASM . Manage database backup, recovery, partitioning, replication, failover, and cloning. Support Oracle databases in
Java-based application environments . Analyze root causes of database performance issues and implement solutions. Develop and maintain
PL/SQL
scripts,
shell scripts , and automation tools for database operations. Manage
Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE & TLS)
for security compliance. Assist in database architecture, design, and capacity planning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Participate in a
24x7 on-call rotation , including weekends and after-hours work. Required Experience & Skills
10+ years
of Oracle DBA experience on
AIX, UNIX, and Linux
platforms. Expertise in
Oracle 12c, 19c, RAC, ASM , and
Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) . Strong knowledge of
RMAN ,
DATAPUMP , and database partitioning. Experience with
Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE & TLS) . Proficiency in
PL/SQL ,
SQL Developer , and
SQL Plus . Shell scripting proficiency for automation. Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
