Role : Senior Warehouse Associate
Job Summary:
The Senior Warehouse Associate supports the efficient flow of HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies through the warehouse. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, and shipping inventory ranging from small components to large commercial HVAC units. Acting as a lead within the warehouse team, the Senior Warehouse Associate ensures accuracy, safety, and efficiency while mentoring junior staff and collaborating closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to maintain smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
HVAC Warehouse Operations Receive, inspect, and verify incoming HVAC equipment, controls, and parts against purchase orders. Safely handle, store, and stage large and heavy HVAC units (RTUs, air handlers, chillers, etc.) and fragile components such as sensors and controls. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment, ensuring correct product selection and secure packaging. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and position HVAC equipment safely. Maintain accurate HVAC inventory levels through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and WMS updates. Assist with product returns, warranty shipments, and equipment refurbishments as needed. Leadership & Training
Serve as a go-to resource for HVAC-specific product handling and storage requirements. Train warehouse associates on HVAC equipment handling, labeling, and shipping best practices. Lead by example in productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company policies and safety standards. Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols for moving heavy equipment, handling refrigerants, and storing hazardous materials. Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and OSHA safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free HVAC storage area. Process Improvement
Recommend process enhancements to improve HVAC warehouse efficiency, safety, and accuracy. Collaborate with management to resolve operational challenges and implement workflow improvements. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role in a mechanical parts environment preferred. Familiarity with HVAC equipment, parts, and terminology a plus. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly and operate heavy equipment safely. Key Competencies

Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and heavy equipment. The role requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing, as well as occasional outdoor work when loading or unloading HVAC equipment.
Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 or depending on experience
