About the job Project Manager
Arkansas Talent Group
is working with one of Arkansas' premier roofing companies to find their next Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of commercial roofing projects from contract award to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and the internal roofing crew.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope of work. Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Coordinate with estimators, superintendents, and foremen to ensure proper staffing and material readiness.
Execution & Oversight
Manage day-to-day operations of multiple roofing projects simultaneously. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards (OSHA), and company policies. Oversee site progress and quality of workmanship. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution. Provide regular progress updates and address concerns promptly. Foster long-term relationships to encourage repeat business.
Budget & Cost Control
Track project expenses, approve invoices, and manage change orders. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure job sites meet OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct or coordinate safety meetings and inspections.
Project Closeout
Oversee final inspections, punch lists, and warranty documentation. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction project management.
Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, metal, modified bitumen, etc.) preferred but not required. Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Certifications (Preferred)
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification. PMP Certification. NRCA Training or manufacturer certifications.
Working Conditions
Mix of office and field work; must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Requires regular travel to job sites. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and climb ladders when necessary.
Compensation & Benefits Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience, and may include quarterly performance bonuses. Company covers 100% employee's health, vision, and dental as well as 100% vision and dental for dependents.
