Product Manager, Platform Interoperability Networks
Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all. We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Payer Solutions team within the Interoperability Networks zone in Platform Services, where we are working to build products that facilitate seamless data exchange and collaboration between payer and provider organizations. This is an essential role that gives you the opportunity to drive and execute the product roadmap and execution of our Value Based Care strategy. You will do so in an exciting environment driven by a desire to enable more efficient and effective healthcare. The Opportunity: In this role, you will play a crucial part in healthcare by automating and standardizing the exchange of patient orders and results. This will help alleviate administrative burdens for healthcare providers and insurers, leading to reduced workload, improved care coordination, and enhanced patient safety for providers, while enabling streamlined claims processing, improved compliance, and better resource management for payers. You will collaborate with internal product teams, engineers, and clients to develop innovative solutions that enhance interoperability, improve patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with industry standards, all while supporting our evolving API-first technology approach. You will engage daily with scrum teams to define epics, prioritize the product backlog, and make trade-off decisions regarding scope and schedule. Enough about us, let's talk about you! You are an outcome-oriented Product Manager with experience in the healthcare IT interoperability space.
You have experience collaborating with clients, business team, and internal teams as stakeholders.
You have demonstrated success at building a long-term roadmap and driving results in a fast-paced environment where you must manage competing priorities.
You have experience working with colleagues to broaden or narrow the scope of a problem to enable action and create manageable efforts.
You have demonstrated the ability to propose the most appropriate approach for the need at hand, and you can quickly pivot if this approach fails.
You see the value in proactively making recommendations for ongoing support and enhancements (updates, self-service).
You are interested in industry developments and trends, such as the data interoperability implications of the 21st Century Cures Act, HL7 FHIR standards.
Experience with clinical workflows and/or software development is a strong plus.
The Team: The Interoperability Networks zone drives growth and creates meaningful insight from diverse data sources by enabling scaled global integrations. We consider the role of the Interoperability Networks team to be a critical strategic function in enabling a connected healthcare system. Job Responsibilities: Become a subject matter expert in customer, technology, and regulatory requirements related to healthcare data ingestion and transformation for a range of VBC use cases.
Contribute to product vision, develop business cases, ensure a product (or set of product features) meets business requirements, and drives the creation and delivery of the product.
Define epics and user stories - clearly articulating business requirements for the problems we're trying to solve, including UX and supporting requirements with a strong focus on outcomes.
Drive ongoing backlog allocations and prioritization of opportunities.
Foster an API-first mentality and execution approach across our organization.
Collaborate with teams across geo locations and time zones.
Typical Qualifications: 6+ years of product management or engineering experience.
Experience working with stakeholders in a business environment across cross-functional groups.
Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development environments.
Experience in Healthcare integration standards FHIR, HL7 CCD is ideal.
Ability to understand and engage on highly technical details of a problem you should be able to hold your own as a technical SME with architects and engineering stakeholders.
Ability to use data and numbers for crucial decision making.
