DevOps Engineer
DevOps Engineer supports Quantexa application, systems and services that ensure the SMBC meets its legal and regulatory responsibilities and obligations in connection with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) efforts. Role Objectives: Expertise
Develop and support applications in Scala / Python framework. Strong knowledge of Scala (preferred), Python, Java, R, or similar object-oriented language. Create and deploy applications in Azure environment with various interconnected azure components. Experience with Azure cloud services, Azure Data Factory, Gen 2, Azure Databricks, etc. Experience in Elasticsearch. Advanced working SQL knowledge on relational databases, preferably on MS SQL Server and databases on Azure cloud. Experience with the DevOps lifecycle (git, ADO, Jenkins etc.) Experience with Jira/Confluence. Experience with Agile methodologies. Experience with REST web services and microservice architecture. Maintain high customer satisfaction through the delivery of high quality, timely, SLA and solutions to problems. Communicate effectively and pro-actively with business users, support teams, vendor, and all stakeholders. Strong solid analytical skills for diagnosing and troubleshooting potential system issues; sharp mind to process solution with quick turn-around. Qualifications and Skills
7+ years of practical work experience with software and systems implementation, preferably in the AML, Fraud, Financial crime space. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or information systems preferred. SMBC's employees participate in a Hybrid workforce model that provides employees with an opportunity to work from home, as well as, from an SMBC office.
