Summary

We're looking for a dedicated Scrum Master to manage our end-to-end vulnerability scheduling. This person will be the central point of contact for all scheduling within the vulnerability team, including Business as Usual (BAU) tasks, active queries, and Power Range management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with a proven track record of facilitating agile processes.

The ScrumMaster will guide and coach Agile teams Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and values. They will act as a servant leader, facilitating the team through the delivery lifecycle and relentlessly advocating for continuous improvement in solution quality as well as the teams Agile and technical practices. They will develop a trusting, safe and collaborative environment and coach the team to adopt an Agile mindset. The ScrumMaster will coach and support scaled Agile principles and practices and help the team integrate its work effectively with supporting teams, identifying, and eliminating impediments, and facilitating flow. The ScrumMaster will also participate in leading the organization through Agile transformation initiatives, providing input and guidance to the transformation team, and coaching the organization to adopt Agile, including Product Management, business stakeholders and IT stakeholders.

What They Will Do

Guide and coach the team and organization to follow Agile/Scrum principles, values, and practices to iteratively deliver value to the organization. Demonstrate continual improvement in team effectiveness and productivity. Foster team health, creating a trusting, safe and collaborative environment; guiding and coaching the team to become self-organized and empowered. Help the team and organization assess their Agile maturity, including Agile practices, culture, and technical practices. Coach the team and organization to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Radiate Information related to team health and value delivered, identifying gaps, developing new practices and measures, to demonstrate a complete and accurate picture. Coach the organization to adopt and use the practices and measures appropriately. Support and coach the Product Manager and Product Owner on Agile/Scrum practices, including backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization; epic and feature decomposition, writing stories and acceptance criteria. Identify, manage, and escalate delivery team and organization issues and risks. Timely and relentless focus and problem solving to prevent or remove impediments and distractions that interfere with the team or organizations ability to deliver on their goals. Facilitate discussion, decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution coaching the team and organization to improve methods and practices. Actively and continuously develop knowledge and skills of Scrum, Agile and coaching practices. Actively contribute to Agile transformation initiatives. Mentor one or more Scrum Masters, Associate Scrum Masters and/or IT team members.

What they will have:

The typical incumbent will have a bachelors degree in business, information systems, or a related area, three (3) years in a technology leadership role and five-eight (5-8) years experience in a ScrumMaster role. At a minimum, candidates must have the equivalent in education and experience of a bachelors degree in a relevant area plus eight (8) years of relevant experience. Master level ScrumMaster Certification (Certified Scrum Professional, Professional ScrumMaster III). (Preferred) Experience leading teams to implement various Agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework, etc. (Preferred) Experience leading teams to implement Agile Engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pairing, and Automated Testing. (Preferred) Experience in large scale Agile implementation(s) (250 to 1000 employee). (Preferred)

Possesses expert knowledge of Agile principles, values, and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework. Proven history of fostering a trusting, safe and collaborative environment across multiple teams; Ability to lead a team to become self-organized and empowered. Ability to operate as a servant leader, garnering respect from the team and leading effectively from a position of influence rather than authority. Ability to assess the needs of a team or organization and leverage a variety of innovative coaching techniques to help the team, Product Owner and Product Manager apply the appropriate Agile practices. Ability to provide meaningful and impactful communication, both written and oral, to delivery team, stakeholders, and executive leadership. Ability to apply a variety of techniques to facilitate innovative and engaging collaboration to accomplish defined results. Ability to apply a variety of techniques to facilitate complex problem solving and collaboratively develop solutions. Ability to effectively resolve conflict through facilitated discussion, identifying alternatives or different approaches. Ability to bring transparency to stakeholders about teams development progress and grow business trust. Ability to remain composed and act in a thoughtful way even under pressure. Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.

Compensation range for position is $162,000 to 180,000 DOE.
