Senior Procurement Specialist
Our Operations and Procurement Team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Procurement team in a Senior Specialist position. You'll be working closely with experienced professionals and reporting to the Director of Procurement. This position requires you to be on-site at least 4 days a week. How you'll make a difference: Develop and support purchasing strategies for multiple categories of spend. Source, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships; negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve cost savings. Track procurement performance metrics to improve efficiency and identify opportunities to reduce expenses. Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, ensure timely ordering, and forecast supply needs. Oversee daily facility operations including maintenance, deliveries, repairs, and vendor coordination. Ensure the workplace is safe, clean, and fully functional for employees and visitors. Support office moves, furniture setup, and workspace planning. You'll stand out if you: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Works well in both a team environment and independently. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong critical thinking skills and analytical skills. Preferred Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, earned within the last 12 years. Internship or project experience related to procurement, purchasing, finance, or operations is a plus. Familiar with basic procurement concepts and interested in learning more about purchasing processes and systems. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., working with spreadsheets, basic formulas, charts). Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn negotiation and decision-making techniques. Able to work with numbers, analyze data, and pay close attention to detail. Any relevant certifications (such as CPSM, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma) are a plus, but not required. Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs.
