Software Developer - C# and SQL

OSAM is hiring a Software Developer to join our Core Technology team. The ideal candidate will have solid computer science fundamentals, a demonstrated passion for solving problems with technology, and possess strong programming experience. This position is a hands-on role responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining firmwide trading-data, performance, risk, research, and investment applications, APIs, and visualization tools. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to interface directly with a wide range of OSAM's investment teams. This is a HYBRID position (three days in office) in our NYC or Stamford, CT office. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship/transfer for this position. Ongoing Responsibilities of a Software Developer - C# and SQL

Work directly with trading, engineering, and R&D departments to solve a wide variety of evolving data and emerging business requirements Design, develop, and support significant components managing client portfolios Develop applications in C#/SQL in a stable and scalable manner Build robust data pipelines from many sources of varied levels of data quality, supporting business demands, ad-hoc client analytic requests, and the core production applications Ensure all code, new and old, meets standards for coding, architecture, and operation Ideal Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Experience with investment performance workflows and analytics 4-6 years of prior professional programming experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or a technology field of study; advance degree is a plus Solid computer science fundamentals with knowledge of data structures / algorithms Think logically and solve problems with demonstrated attention to detail Understand proper source control practices (Git experience preferred) Have excellent communication skills to be able to interact with a wide range of users ranging from very technical (quants) to non-technical Demonstrate solid small-project management skills Be a quick learner with the ability to adapt quickly and work in a dynamic environment Have experience working in a financial services company, ideally in asset management Critical Technology Skill Sets

Must be proficient in C# and SQL (SQL Server / relational databases). Other similar OOP languages might be acceptable depending on experience. Have additional experience with: ETL workflows, REST APIs, WCF, and WinForms Be very comfortable developing in MS Visual Studio Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code a plus Working knowledge developing with various Azure/cloud technologies a plus Experience with: DevExpress, Angular Framework, ASP.NET, Javascript a plus Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewardsmonetary and non-monetarydesigned to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
