IT Project Manager

B&W is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Senior IT Project Manager with 7+ years' experience successfully leading diverse technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while maintaining effective stakeholder communication and team leadership. Responsibilities: Provide project management leadership, expertise, and guidance on complex technology projects Coach and mentor less-experienced project managers and team members Provide direction and leadership within the Project Management Office (PMO) in the absence of the Manager of Project Management Drive strategic initiatives within the PMO organization, focusing on process improvements and operational efficiencies Manage projects with multiple internal and/or external stakeholders Develop comprehensive project charters, project plans, resource plans, and contingency plans Track project against its schedule, budget, and phase review objectives, reporting status to identify/mitigate significant risks at the project and/or program level Develop strategies to mitigate risks, whether through avoidance, transfer, mitigation, or acceptance Create, track, and drive critical paths, flagging and managing dependencies and decisions Establish and maintain clear communication with clients, team members, and senior leadership Conduct regularly scheduled project team meetings to assess status, roadblocks, issues, and/or concerns Regularly update stakeholders/IT Management on project status, progress, challenges, and solutions Actively listen to stakeholder feedback and concerns to foster trust and alignment Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation: documenting project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, risk registers, lessons learned, and other relevant project artifacts Conduct post-project reviews and analyses: evaluating project outcomes, identifying lessons learned, and documenting best practices for future projects Qualifications

Strong MS Product skills including Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint Proficiency with MS Project for tracking project schedule tasks, resource assignments, timeline, and critical path Proven work experience in managing large complex IT initiatives Expertise in Project Management Methodologies: hands-on experience with various methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches Strong leadership qualities: ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams, make decisions, and influence others Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills: utilizing critical thinking and data analysis to overcome challenges and make informed decisions Strategic thinking capability: the ability to see the bigger picture, anticipate challenges, and align project goals with organizational strategies Risk Management and Mitigation: ability to identify, assess, prioritize, and develop strategies for managing project risks Budget and Resource Management: effectively allocating and managing project resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances Adaptability and Flexibility: adjusting strategies and approaches in response to evolving project requirements or unexpected obstacles Mentoring and Coaching: guiding and developing less-experienced project managers and team members Technical Proficiency: knowledge and experience with various project management software and tools Attention to Detail and Strong Analytical Skills: thoroughly reviewing project documents, analyzing data, and monitoring progress to ensure accuracy and quality Primary Location
