They will be responsible for building the commercial L&D plan, designing and leading the functional skill development training (e.g., sales capabilities), liaising with Sales Enablement regarding Brand and Product training, liaising with HR on HR and leadership capabilities and training, and calendarizing and planning all of this for the commercial organization. This role partners closely with business leaders and Corporate HR/L&D to ensure alignment of tools, content, and delivery platforms for training, skill development, and employee evaluation. This role requires deep collaboration with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Pricing, Customer Service, Commercial Strategy, Planning and Analytics, and Sales, to understand organizational needs to continually build incremental individual and organizational capabilities and effectiveness. Qualified candidates must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, be comfortable interacting with sales leadership, customers and internal collaborating teams, and have a demonstrated knowledge of training and development strategies, platforms, content and delivery strategies within commercial functions. Monday-Friday, Full-Time, Exempt Remote Available WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead the development of the commercial learning strategy and roadmap in partnership with key stakeholders across Merchandising, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Pricing, Customer Service, Commercial Strategy, Planning and Analytics, and Sales. Partner with Corporate HR/L&D to ensure integration of commercial learning initiatives with enterprise-wide tools, governance, and systems. Partner with Sales Enablement to ensure integration of brand and product learning initiatives and tools. Engage with commercial function leaders to assess skill gaps and prioritize training needs aligned to business goals. Influence the design and enhancement of onboarding, leadership, and technical enablement programs, while coordinating with delivery leads and content owners. Serve as a strategic advisor to commercial leadership on capability-building initiatives. Monitor learning outcomes and advise on improvements based on participation data and feedback trends. Collaborate with the Manager, Commercial L&D to ensure seamless execution and implementation of programs. Team Leadership & Development Manage and mentor the Manager of Commercial Learning & Development Define team goals, operating rhythms, and capability development plans. Act as the primary voice for capability development within the commercial leadership team and corporate HR functions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field. 7+ years of experience in learning & development, with at least 3 in a commercial, sales, or marketing-focused environment. Experience working across functional areas in a matrixed organization. Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and digital learning tools. Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, team development, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Experience in the decorated apparel, promotional goods, or mass customization sectors. Experience in consumer products, apparel, or B2B distribution environments. Familiarity with enterprise LMS platforms (e.g., Workday Learning, Cornerstone). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Skills Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to translate commercial needs into scalable learning programs. Project management and vendor oversight capability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
