Position Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join a supportive district in Plainfield, IL (60544). In this role, you will be a key member of the student support team, helping to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs, and fostering an inclusive environment where all students feel safe and supported.

Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective intervention strategies. Support students with conflict resolution, coping skills, and peer relationships. Serve as a liaison between the school and outside support agencies or service providers. Develop and lead school-wide initiatives that promote mental wellness and emotional resilience. Advocate for students and families to ensure access to community resources and educational support.

Qualifications Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field. Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement. Previous experience in school-based or child-focused settings preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices.
