THE ROLE The Spa at Chetola Resort is seeking professional and experienced
Massage Therapists
to join our team as
1099 independent contractors . You will provide exceptional therapeutic services in a tranquil, luxury resort setting, ensuring each guest leaves feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and cared for. This is an excellent opportunity for licensed therapists looking to grow their private practice while working with a steady stream of clientele at one of the High Country’s premier spa destinations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide professional massage services tailored to client needs, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and prenatal massages. Maintain a high level of professionalism, creating a calm and welcoming environment for guests. Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared before and after appointments. Recommend appropriate treatments and educate guests on self-care practices as needed. Adhere to all state licensing, sanitation, and infection control requirements. Collaborate with the Spa team to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Requirements:
ABOUT YOU Passionate about health, wellness, and creating exceptional guest experiences. Professional, reliable, and customer service-oriented. Able to maintain client confidentiality and a soothing presence in a resort spa setting. Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor. REQUIREMENTS Active North Carolina massage therapy license in good standing. Proof of Professional and General Liability Insurance. Minimum 1 year of massage therapy experience preferred; resort or spa experience a plus. Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays based on client demand. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR DISCLAIMER This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Chetola Resort. Contractors: Are not eligible for employee benefits or hourly wages. Must maintain all required state licensure, certifications, and liability insurance at their own expense. Are prohibited from soliciting Chetola guests for outside services or providing services not scheduled and paid through Chetola Resort. Are responsible for reporting their own income and gratuities for tax purposes.
