The company is expanding across multiple regions. Due to this growth, there is a high demand for talent across various teams, with a significant emphasis on filling key positions to support their expanding operations.

THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Analyst of External Reporting to join our client’s high-growth, publicly traded organization. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and regulatory filings. Reporting to the External Reporting leadership team, you will support technical accounting efforts, SEC compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain the highest standards in financial transparency and reporting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO Develop and validate supporting schedules for footnote disclosures and key financial statement components. Prepare and review SEC filings including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and quarterly earnings releases, ensuring accuracy in financial statements, disclosures, and management discussion and analysis (MD&A). Ensure timely and compliant submissions of SEC filings, adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Partner with internal and external auditors to address technical accounting matters and review key reporting deliverables.

Draft technical accounting memos addressing complex transactions and emerging accounting issues.

Assist with accounting and reporting considerations for goodwill and intangible asset impairment testing.

Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX 404 requirements.

Support accounting for acquisitions, including purchase price allocation and variable interest entity evaluations.

Collaborate with General Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Investor Relations to ensure accuracy and consistency in reported results.

Contribute to the monthly close process, ensuring results align with US GAAP and company policies.

Identify opportunities to streamline and improve external reporting processes and systems.

WHAT YOU WILL LIKELY NEED Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and corporate experience.

Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Understanding of cannabis industry regulations is a plus, with a willingness to learn and navigate the evolving legal landscape.
