Water Resources Project Manager (P.E.) Location:
Bannockburn, Chicago, Crystal Lake, Mokena, Naperville, or Peoria. About the role, Your Impact Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Water Resources Project Manager to work in our growing Water Resources group. Baxter & Woodman works with municipal clients on projects of all sizes, putting the client and the solution first – solving problems for people. Come join our team! What your day-to-day will look like Analysis and design of municipal stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, green infrastructure, etc.). Develop hydrology and hydraulics models of municipal storm sewer and sanitary collection systems. Assistance with drainage studies and stormwater masterplans. Collaboration with transportation and structural departments for the design of transportation drainage systems complying with IDOT standards. Preparation of hydraulics reports, location drainage studies, and technical memorandums. Preparation of plans and specifications for construction. Permitting with local, state, and federal permitting agencies. Education/Certification Requirements 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred. Registered professional engineer license in the state of Illinois preferred. Must-haves, what you will bring 5+ years of experience in the design of stormwater projects. Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation. Experience with IDOT design standards and hydraulic reporting is preferred. Knowledge of the basic principles of hydrology and hydraulics. Experience with H&H modeling (SWMM is preferred). Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D or MicroStation) and ArcGIS. Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction. Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills. Ability to travel throughout the service area (own transportation). Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects. Compensation:
The pay range for this role is $90,000-$110,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
