Daily Tasks for this position will include but are not limited to the following: Work with New York State Police Business Units and the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) to document, review and analyze existing workflows, processes, reports and documentation between the Records Management System (RMS) and existing NYSP applications and connections Work directly with NYSP Business Units, vendors and ITS to customize, configure and test software releases in multiple environments Work directly with the project business analyst to ensure business requirements are met in each software release Build and test replacement forms/modules in the RMS that exist in legacy NYSP applications Participate in status meetings and provide weekly updates to the project manager Document system configurations to provide knowledge transfer to state staff to implement and support the system Software Architect
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84 months of software development experience consisting of planning, designing and implementing enterprise technology solutions 84 months experience working with users and business analysts on application development based on business requirements, use cases and user stories 36 months experience configuring/analyzing interfaces between complex applications. 36 months experience developing detailed system design documentation and program specifications 36 months experience supporting a Records Management System (RMS). 36 months experience supporting a Public Safety entity (Police, Fire, Homeland Security, Military) Bachelors Degree
