Job Summary :
The Associate Director of Admission is responsible for developing and executing strategies that support USF's undergraduate enrollment goals. Through close collaboration with enrollment leaders and key university partners, this role crafts an analytically driven, mission-aligned, and results-oriented plan to enhance undergraduate class at USF.
To achieve these goals, the Associate Director plays a critical role in recruiting students and serves as the primary liaison for partnerships with key nonprofits and community-based organizations that facilitate successful student recruitment. Additionally, this role oversees engagement with federally and state-sponsored pre-college programs designed to expand access for underrepresented student populations. The Associate Director also provides guidance to students and families from these organizations, offering expertise on college preparation, admissions, and financial literacy.
A key responsibility of this position is overseeing all undergraduate admission recruitment travel for both the fall and spring seasons. This includes coordinating travel logistics, ensuring fiscal responsibility and budget compliance, and overseeing timely and comprehensive travel reporting. As the travel manager for the Undergraduate Admission team, the Associate Director ensures that all recruitment efforts align with USF's mission while responsibly managing the university's financial resources.
Reporting to the Director of Admission, the Associate Director works closely with SEM leadership and University Life staff who are deeply involved in student support. This collaboration ensures that outreach and engagement efforts authentically reflect and support the lived experiences of USF students.

Major Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement an underrepresented student recruitment plan for new undergraduate students at USF.
- Manage all aspects of fall and spring recruitment travel, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, budget compliance, and timely reporting.
- Provide leadership for a team of core admission staff and others within Admission and SEM on recruitment of underrepresented students.
- Establish, expand, and manage relationships with key nonprofits and community-based organizations (e.g., First Graduate, College Track, KIPP, Cristo Rey Network, Making Waves, ScholarMatch) to create pipelines for diverse student enrollment.
- Serve as a higher education consultant for USF in collaboration with the partnerships, and in interactions with their students and parents while providing expertise on issues such as college preparation, admission and financial literacy.
- Campus Collaboration : Partner with student services, university life, and other departments to host events for prospective students, key stakeholders, and cultural organizations.
- Admissions Evaluation : Review applications from designated territories, and participate in university committees.
- Access Initiatives : Maintain expertise in financial aid, scholarships, college access for undocumented students, standardized testing, and other access-related issues.
- Liaison with other student services areas across campus and collaborate to host on campus informational events for key partners, students and parents.
- Develop, review and revise MOUs (Memos of Understanding) as needed with partners.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders at the district and school levels, community organizations, and other external constituencies to achieve desired goals.
- Participate actively in undergraduate admission events including but not limited to open houses, interviews, and transfer days, as requested.
- Work collaboratively with the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid and other departments within SEM to support meeting the division's goals and USF's commitment to access.
