Senior Software Engineer

This role entails working in the office a few days per week as necessary in our Santa Clara office.

Role Description

We are looking for a Northern California located software engineer to join our growing R&D team in the U.S. This is a full-time role for a software development professional at Graid Technology. The role will involve daily tasks such as developing, building, and maintaining our cutting-edge GPU-based software for data storage. This position will report to the Head of U.S. Engineering.

Responsibilities

Complete software development process including requirement analysis, design, development, deployment, and support
Implement unit test automation for added features
Identify performance bottlenecks and continuously implement improvements
Collaborate with other cross functional teams, including those in a different time zone
Participate in design and QA test plan reviews
Support critical customer escalations and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
Work with multi-functional team members on user requirements, including but not limited to : product management, QA, customer support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent education

5+ years of experience in software development

Experience with C / C++, Python, Golang, and Linux and other related programming languages

In-depth understanding of CPU architecture, computer architecture, operating systems and data structures

Experience with Debugging and performance optimization, i.e. ability to use tools such as gdb, WinDBG, and perf

Knowledge of multithreading and lockless algorithms

Organized, analytical, creative and adaptive in approach and finding solutions

Ability to work independently and remotely or as part of a team

Desired Skills

Relevant engineering experience with the field of data storage or related technologies

Experience with kernel programming is a plus

Experience in GPU programming models such as CUDA or similar is a plus

Knowledge of SDS, ASIC, or storage technology

Experienced with kernel level programming

Salary Range

The total compensation range for this role is $180k - $250k a year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects a minimum and maximum target. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
