Tax Manager

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Manager to join their Architectural & Engineering group in their Bethesda, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners
• Develop new and existing client relationships and knowledge of client’s businesses
• Work closely with Tax Partners to satisfy the needs of planning compliance
• Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed
• Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence, and other documents
• Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals
• Supervise, train, and guide tax associates and senior associates
• Analyze and resolve tax notices with federal and state tax authorities
• Stay up to date on new and changing tax legislation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, MST preferred
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience
• Public accounting experience required
• Proficient in corporate and partnership tax
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• CPA required
• Knowledge of MS Office, CCH, and BNA Tax
