Flyte, the open-source project we steward, is the emerging standard for modern data and AI orchestration, with numerous leading technology organizations - like LinkedIn, Spotify, and Gojek - running millions of mission-critical workloads on the platform. The Opportunity
The goal of the Technical Account Manager role is to be the primary liaison for our key customers, ensuring their successful adoption, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the Union Cloud platform and Flyte. Leveraging your deep expertise in AI workflows, data pipelines, and cloud environments, you will guide customers through complex integrations, provide training, troubleshoot challenges, drive product utilization, and translate their evolving business needs into actionable insights for our product and engineering teams. You will ensure stakeholders get maximum value from the platform. Your ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, anticipate requirements, and deliver proactive solutions will be pivotal in driving customer retention and expanding our platform’s value within their AI and data ecosystems.
You’ll act as a strategic partner to users, helping them navigate evolving AI workflows while surfacing key insights that inform product development and roadmap priorities.
You’ll collaborate directly with AI, ML and platform engineering teams, as well as technical decision-makers, to ensure seamless implementation, accelerate value realization, and build strong partnerships that support retention, expansion, and customer advocacy.
In this role, you will:

  • Own and drive strategic account plans focused on adoption milestones, usage expansion, and revenue growth in a land-and-expand model.
  • Partner with internal technical teams to help customers design and optimize workflows for production-grade AI systems.
  • Own end-to-end customers outcomes and value from Union. Guide customers through onboarding and integration, troubleshoot challenges, drive product utilization, and provide timely, effective support to resolve complex issues.
  • Translate real-world challenges from customer environments into actionable feedback for our product and engineering teams.
  • Track customer health, identify signs of friction or opportunity, and develop engagement strategies across both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive renewals and commercial growth by aligning our product capabilities with evolving customer needs and identifying upsell or cross-sell pathways.
  • Faciliate technical enablement content creation—reference architectures, debugging guides, cookbooks, and tutorials—to scale your impact.
  • Lead customer touchpoints such as roadmap sessions, architecture reviews, QBRs, and executive briefings to ensure we remain aligned with customer goals and value realization.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the customer in planning, prioritization, and go-to-market alignment.
About You:
  • You’re excited to work at the intersection of AI infrastructure and customer outcomes—and are driven to own both the technical and commercial success of your accounts.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, or ML/Data Engineer within a B2B devtools or platforms.
  • You’ve worked closely with enterprise engineering and product teams—whether in customer success, solutions engineering, DevRel, or internal ML platform roles—and can credibly lead both architecture discussions and business reviews.
  • You have at least design and architecture-level understanding of systems involving data processing, model training, serving, or monitoring.
  • Experience in MLOps/LLMOps, machine learning pipelines, and data orchestration tools.
  • Proficiency in Python, or genuine desire to learn, given its prevalence in data science.
  • You’ve developed and executed account plans focused on growth through adoption, usage expansion, and product-led revenue—especially in a land-and-expand motion.
  • You write clearly, speak thoughtfully, and can tailor your communication to both hands-on users and executive sponsors.
  • You are curious, proactive, and self-directed—you seek ownership and are not afraid to experiment.
  • You build trusted relationships quickly and are motivated by helping others succeed; you view the success of your customers as your own.
  • Bonus: You’ve contributed to or participated in relevant AI or MLOps open-source communities, forums, or customer advocacy programs.
Nice to Have
  • Direct experience with Flyte (open-source or Union).
  • Experience working with large enterprise customers.
  • Prior experience at a startup or fast-growing technology company.
  • Experience in pre-sales or post-sales technical consulting.
