We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Design UI/UX Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design principles and have a track record of creating intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly digital products. This position will either be in Bethesda, MD or McLean, VA.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Conduct user research, analyze user feedback, and interpret data to understand user needs, validate design concepts, and iterate on designs.
  • Create user personas, user journeys, and storyboards to guide design processes and communicate ideas to the team.
  • Maintain a consistent brand identity across all digital platforms by adhering to design guidelines and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies, and incorporate them into design projects.
  • Participate in design reviews, provide constructive feedback to peers, and iterate on designs based on feedback.
  • Balance user requirements, business goals, and technical constraints to produce optimal design solutions.
Qualifications
Required Education:
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Desired Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of professional experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, and Axure.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and interpreting analytics data.
  • Strong visual design skills and an eye for detail, color, typography, and layout.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in designing for a variety of platforms including web, mobile, and tablet.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Certification in UI/UX design or related disciplines.
Clearance:
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
