**Description**

The Food and Beverage Business Leader for the California Regional Office is responsible for the overall business line development, managerial direction, profitability, and leadership of the Food and Beverage Business Line within our California regional office and other areas as required by Global Facilities practice. This position will build and grow the clients and team members necessary to run a profitable Engineer Procure and Construct (EPC) business line. As a leader, they will develop a culture based upon Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety, and outstanding service. This includes supporting and executing business strategy, delivering solutions, developing high-performance teams, and promoting the company's culture, values, and mission.

**Responsibilities**

  1. Provide Business Development leadership for Food and Beverage within the region and execute a national market strategy.
  2. Manage and lead employee-owners, including assigning project work and reviewing performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
  3. Identify client and project opportunities, manage team efforts for proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, etc.
  4. Lead recruitment efforts for California Food & Beverage talent.
  5. Develop clients and opportunities through the Burns & McDonnell network, including contract review, negotiations, and risk assessments focused on EPC project delivery.
  6. Utilize the company's network of resources to identify the best value solutions for clients.
  7. Develop and communicate business objectives and vision for the team.
  8. Establish project teams, coordinate activities, and ensure efficient staff utilization while meeting contractual and performance standards.
  9. Demonstrate problem-solving skills with creativity, foresight, and judgment.
  10. Lead negotiations for prime service contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  11. Manage financial results, project management, cost control, and client satisfaction.
  12. Support development of California Global Facilities and Business Line business plans.
  13. Serve as project manager for key or new clients and business development.
  14. Communicate project status, risks, and costs effectively to stakeholders.
  15. Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  16. Ensure continuous communication among stakeholders and partners.
  17. Identify early project opportunities and facilitate go/no-go decisions.
  18. Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure client success.
  19. Oversee report preparation and present project status to management.
  20. Provide performance feedback to project team members.
  21. Recommend organizational changes to meet objectives effectively.
  22. Ensure safety policies are followed.
  23. Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited program.
  • 7-15 years of professional experience in design and/or project management, with 5+ years in EPC-related construction, and preferably in food and beverage sectors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and manage change positively.
  • Strong project management skills and strategic outlook.
  • Professional engineering or architecture license preferred.

**Compensation**

$110,000.00 - $350,000.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications, including a base salary and potential incentive bonus.
