Join to apply for the People Development Partner role at Stripe
As a People Development Partner on Stripe’s People Development team (part of the Talent & Development org), you will play an instrumental role in developing Stripes through a variety of user-focused learning programs and experiences. This person will have broad expertise in the people development space, including content design and development, program management, project management, and virtual and IRL facilitation. The ideal candidate is a highly proactive self-motivator who has a pulse on the latest trends in talent development and a proven track record of designing, delivering, and evaluating exceptional learning experiences aligned to business strategy.
What you’ll do
Responsibilities
Learning experience design
- Own the learning experience design process end-to-end from intake to delivery
- Leverage a users-first, data-driven approach to design highly relevant, highly impactful People Development product offerings that support Stripe’s strategy
- Support key Stripe initiatives by owning, designing, and developing suites of enablement assets including job aids, manager guides, and live/virtual training sessions
- Partner with Stripe leaders to operationalize Stripe’s strategy and culture through People Development products
- Architect and execute programs and experiences that support Stripe employees at global scale and at different career moments
- Manage People Development programs end-to-end, including designing, marketing, facilitating, and evaluating program content
- Qualitatively and quantitatively assess and improve the effectiveness of programs to demonstrate impact in line with business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts during the design and development process, establishing project timelines, addressing user feedback, and ensuring alignment, engagement, and expectation management
- Consult with business leaders to understand their needs and solicit their input, appropriate sponsorship, engagement, and alignment
- Facilitate and/or work with facilitators to deliver ongoing developmental experiences (primarily virtually via Zoom, some IRL)
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-8+ years of experience in relevant L&D and/or leadership development roles
- Extensive experience navigating ambiguity and building effective solutions that scale (experience designing learning experiences in a high-growth environment a plus)
- Deep knowledge of adult learning principles to deliver large-scale development programs and interventions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leveraging technology to curate and deliver high-impact learning
- Experience building in a variety of learning formats: ILT (live and virtual) and on-demand
- Demonstrated expertise in using data to inform decisions on effectiveness of development experiences - and an understanding of what creates both learning and behavior change resulting in measurable improvement
- Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Advanced project management capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, and highly collaborative environment
- Strong virtual and in-person facilitation experience
- Experience working with learning and development vendors, including managing existing relationships and developing new ones
- Experience with eLearning development and graphic design (experience with Articulate 360 and Google Suite preferred)
- Understanding of how learning technologies impact the user experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of design thinking and design thinking processes
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
