Senior Sales Engineer

The Solutions Consultant will provide high-quality demonstrations of the product to prospective customers by working with sales staff and clients to understand the customer's business and workflows. They will also be responsible for maintaining content used by both sales staff and clients. The Solutions Consultant will mentor sales staff on product knowledge and be the go-to resource for all technical requests during the pre-sales phase. They will also work with the sales staff to collect customer feedback.
What you'll do :
- Provide tools and processes to accelerate deals, execute contracts, and improve sales team efficacy.
- Connect with customers across various verticals, including manufacturing, facilities management, government, and other maintenance and operational businesses.
- Partner with sales to present MaintainX to prospective clients, tailoring examples to their business and communication needs.
- Import real customer data into trial accounts to enable interaction with their assets and engage with the platform effectively.
- Serve as the product expert, responding accurately to technical questions from sales teams.
- Stay informed on product updates (approximately 3 times per week) and incorporate new functionalities into demos.
- Build trust with customer stakeholders through product and functional expertise.
- Anticipate customer needs using consulting and selling skills to address pain points and present solutions.
- Collaborate with a Sales Architect to develop customer-specific integrations with third-party software as needed.
- Work cross-departmentally with marketing, product management, engineering, implementation, and customer support to find solutions for prospective customers.
- Develop and update sales assets and collateral.
- Mentor sales staff by reinforcing product knowledge and messaging from our product marketing managers.
- Gather and relay feedback from customer interactions to the product marketing team.
About you :
- 5+ years of experience related to sales, implementation, solution building, or engineering.
- Prior consulting and sales experience, with strong analytical problem-solving skills, is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain high energy levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt communication style to different customers and stakeholders.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

- Bachelor's degree or higher.

- Experience with sales tech stacks like Salesforce, Salesloft, DiscoverOrg.
- Experience with startups and entrepreneurial environments.
- Experience with ERP, CMMS, or facility operations software.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to speak Spanish.
- Ability to work remotely effectively.
