A leading venture capital firm with over $10 billion in assets under management is seeking an experienced Assistant Fund Controller to join its high-performing finance team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership-track role at a top-tier VC platform known for backing some of the most iconic names in technology, healthcare, and climate innovation.

The firm recently closed over $2 billion across its flagship, growth, and seed-stage funds, and is expanding its finance function to support its continued growth and institutional scale.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead fund-level accounting and reporting across multiple VC fund families
• Review capital calls, distributions, and partner allocations
• Oversee quarterly financials, investor reporting, and internal fund performance metrics
• Manage year-end audits and tax engagements with top-tier public accounting firms
• Support portfolio valuation processes and cash flow planning
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff; serve as a key right-hand to the SVP of Finance
• Partner with firm leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives

Qualifications :

5–8+ years of experience, ideally with a blend of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and fund operations

Strong understanding of venture capital or private equity fund structures

Systems experience with AltaReturn, Microsoft NAV, or similar platforms is a plus

CPA preferred but not required

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Based in the Pennisula

Hybrid : one day per week in office; must reside within commuting distance

Up to $180k base + performance bonus
