About the Role: Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager at our Palo Alto location. The ideal candidate will be customer service driven and flexible to work various tasks daily. Essential Functions: Assist and support the Produce Manager with all departmental functions Participate in interviewing, training, and developing Produce department staff Establish and maintain a positive work environment Follow department procedures to maintain supplies Manage inventory and pricing, including signage, to meet margin and labor targets; oversee product sampling Ensure freshness and quality of products upon delivery and restocking Monitor and maintain proper rotation of all fresh products Minimum Qualifications: Experience in a produce department Customer service experience in retail/grocery Ability to provide excellent, consistent customer service Passion for fresh, unique foods and teamwork Ability to assess produce quality by sight and smell Good communication and motivation skills; team player Self-motivated and solution-oriented Ability to train and inspire diverse team members Knowledge and appreciation of natural foods Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends Local candidates only Physical Requirements: Regularly lift at least 50 lbs Stand and walk up to 8 hours daily Reaching for up to 4 hours daily Benefits: Union position with competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, pension Commuter benefits, discounts, paid time off Pay Range:
