Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed piping drawings based on specifications and work order instructions.
- Ensure design products and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- Prepare Bills of Material (BOM).
- Consult with vendors on project-related activities.
- Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups, considering ease of manufacture, material availability, and contractual specifications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of piping design experience within the shipbuilding industry.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software, such as Ship Constructor, Nupas Cadmatic, Inventor, and CATIA.
- Strong understanding of piping design principles in the shipbuilding industry.
- Ability to prepare accurate and detailed Bills of Material (BOM).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
