As a welder, you will play a crucial role in crafting structural components for modular buildings. You will:
- Perform day-to-day fabrication and welding of structural steel and miscellaneous parts
- Assist in cutting, welding, and fabricating structural steel components and fixtures
- Safely operate welding equipment to ensure flawless results
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions with precision
- Handle various thicknesses of metal to meet project specifications
You have:
- Academic background in welding technology or a related field
- Previous experience as a certified welder with MIG welding (GMAW, FCAW) using AWS D1.1 qualifications or equivalent experience
- Skills in reading and understanding structural blueprints, tape measures, and protractors
- Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands of a manufacturing position
- Cutting accurately with torches and plasma cutters
