This is a day shift position working 3x12s. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, strong leadership, and compassionate care to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care by adhering to individualized nursing care plans and supervising support staff including LPNs, CNAs, and orientees. Key Responsibilities: * Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans * Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and provide timely, accurate updates on patient status * Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) * Provide patient/family education with a focus on rehabilitation and discharge readiness * Initiate and contribute to discharge planning starting on the day of admission * Communicate critical patient information during handoffs to ensure continuity and safety * Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel appropriately * Promote a safe patient care environment and follow hospital policies and procedures * Collaborate with unit leadership to ensure resources and equipment are available and functioning * Assume charge responsibilities when assigned * Maintain timely and thorough documentation in the medical record * Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional growth and continuing education * Prioritize tasks effectively to meet patient needs and unit goals * Support team-building and a positive unit culture Qualifications: * Active RN license in the state of New Jersey * Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in LTAC, step-down, med/surg, or critical care preferred * BLS certification required; ACLS preferred * Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Why Travel with HumanEdge Health: We provide travel clinicians with nationwide access to top facilities, competitive pay, dedicated recruiter support, and a full-service onboarding experience.
