About NCMC Athletics:
The North Central Michigan College Athletic Department provides positive opportunities for student-athletes to advance their academic, athletic, and personal achievements through intercollegiate sports.
Position Overview:
  • Pay: $12.50 per hour
North Central Michigan College Athletics is seeking a creative and motivated Multimedia Intern with strong photography and videography skills to capture and produce engaging content for marketing, advertising, and social media purposes. This internship is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in the fast-paced world of college athletics while earning college credit, if applicable to your program.

Time Commitment:
  • Position begins Fall 2025
  • Up to 20 hours per week with 20% office-based and 80% event-based.
  • Total hours per week will vary depending on event schedules and availability.
  • Athletics Multimedia Intern will work with a supervisor to determine schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of live sporting events, including game action, fan experiences, athlete features, and promotional content.
  • Assist in creating short-form and long-form video content tailored for social media platforms.
  • Organize and archive digital content efficiently with clear labeling and accessibility.
  • Maintain an organized workflow for managing a high volume of images and footage under tight deadlines
  • Assist with media day, including headshots and team photos
  • Collaborate with the Sports Information Director in planning and executing creative content strategies.
  • Work with the Athletic Department to promote events and strengthen the NCMC Athletics brand.
  • Maintain a professional and cohesive visual style aligned with NCMC branding.
  • Attend and cover home athletic events as scheduled.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled at North Central Michigan College
  • Must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Demonstrated experience in photography and videography, preferably in sports or events
  • Strong knowledge of camera equipment and techniques, especially in dynamic or low-light environments
  • Familiarity with lighting, framing, and composition techniques
  • Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must provide your own DSLR or mirrorless camera, lenses, laptop, phone, and editing software
  • Understanding of social media platforms and content trends is preferred
  • Passion for sports, creativity, and digital storytelling
