Driver- CDL (B) Job Summary
A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The driver ensures compliance with the company's safety standards, adheres to all regulations, and completes vehicle condition reports on a daily basis. The driver performs pre- and post-operation inspections, safely operates the truck along designated routes, interacts with customers and staff, and maintains a clean and operational vehicle.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
- Safely operate the truck along designated routes.
- Operate controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of collected material.
- Interact courteously with customers and staff.
- Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers.
- Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
- Clean area around accidental waste spills.
- Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime.
- Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other reports.
- Maintain adherence to productivity standards.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in the company's ReSOP program.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
