Now Hiring: Entry Level Machinists/Apprentices

As a Machinist, you will safely set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to produce batches of dimensionally accurate parts. You will read and interpret blueprints or drawings to complete assignments effectively. Your role includes performing detail work such as sanding, deburring, cleaning, painting, and conducting cosmetic inspections of parts. You will also assist in the design and fabrication of tooling and test fixtures for production and R&D, demonstrating an ability and attitude to thrive in a small company environment supporting both Research and Development and Production efforts.

Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to produce accurate parts.

Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to complete assignments.

Perform sanding, deburring, cleaning, painting, and cosmetic inspection of parts.

Assist in the design and fabrication of tooling and test fixtures.

Support Research and Development and Production efforts in a small company environment.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Experience in manual and CNC machining.

Familiarity with mechanical assembly and production processes.

Ability to use hand tools and electronic test equipment.

Troubleshooting skills.

Critical thinking skills.

Open to apprentices interested in learning the trade.

Ability to learn and operate manual and CNC machines.

Ideally able to obtain a clearance, although not required to start.

The work environment is a climate-controlled smaller machine shop, accommodating about five people at a time, ensuring comfort with both AC and heat.

This is a Contract position based out of Yorktown, Virginia.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. This is a fully onsite position in Yorktown,VA.
