LIFE Pittsburgh is a proud provider of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), a nationally recognized model. Our health teams of geriatric physicians and nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation specialists and other health care professionals assess our Participants' needs and desires, plan and approve services with them and their family or caregiver, monitor for changes and provide timely interventions. Primary care and community services are provided through our Day Health Centers and through our in-home program according to an individual Participant's needs, honoring the dignity of every participant we serve.

Medical Delivery Driver/DME Technician
At LIFE Pittsburgh, our goal is simple: help older adults stay where they feel safest and happiest-at home. As a Medical Delivery Driver/DME Technician, you'll support that mission by helping Participants regain and maintain the mobility and independence that make daily life possible.
This isn't abstract work. You'll see the impact of your support every day, whether it's helping someone recover from a fall or giving them the confidence to walk across their living room without fear.
Essential Functions:
1. Delivery: Safely transport DME to participants homes or adult day facilities according to scheduled routes and delivery instructions.
2. Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional service to participants and their caregivers, answering questions and addressing concerns about the equipment.
3. Setup and Demonstration: Set up DME at the participants location and provide detailed instructions on how to use the equipment safely and effectively.
4. Training: Educate participants and caregivers on proper equipment usage, maintenance, and safety precautions.
5. Documentation: Complete delivery logs and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, sanitizing, and performing safety checks on DME before delivery.
7. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve minor equipment issues onsite or escalate more complex problems to the appropriate personnel.
8. Repairs: Perform minor repairs on DME as needed, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
9. Inventory Management: Assist DME & Warehouse Coordinator in maintaining accurate inventory records and stocking levels of DME in the delivery vehicle.
10. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to participant privacy, safety, and equipment handling.
11. Communication: Maintain open communication with DME & Warehouse Coordinator, clinical staff, and other relevant employees to ensure smooth delivery operations.
12. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the delivery vehicle to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Requirements
Knowledge /Skills / Abilities
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or technical training in healthcare or related field preferred.
2. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
3. Prior experience in healthcare delivery, customer service, or a related field preferred.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with participants and caregivers.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
6. Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of medical equipment functionality.
7. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, including DME, as required.
8. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
9. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines.
10. Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently.
11. Commitment to providing high-quality participant care and service excellence.
Compensation
Salary range: $19.23 - $24.04 hourly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
