Welder Position

Cleveland Gear Company is currently seeking candidates like YOU for a role as Welder. We are seeking energetic, highly motivated, and take-charge individuals who are seeking a challenging and exciting opportunity to join a well-established, profitable, and growing company. Here is how YOU would help benefit the team:

I. Station or Machines:

• MIG, TIG and spot welders
• Shear and Roller
• O.D. Grinder

II. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Layout, shear and roll screen material
• Spotweld, MIG and TIG welding to approved procedures.
• Repair of casting porosity.
• O.D. grinding of screens.
• Maintain screen inventory and control of filler metals.
• Visual inspection of welds and dimensional inspection of screens.
• Follow welder workmanship program.
• Follow company rules, procedures and work instructions.

III. Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education or Certification):

• Two (2) years experience in fabrication and welding.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
• Should be certified to weld steel, bronze, stainless and aluminum.
• Should also have good mechanical skills
• High school graduate

IV. Minimum Physical Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to operate hoist or crane

V. Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to bend and kneel or to squat or sit for difficult assemblies

VI. On-Going Training Requirements:

• Health and Safety.
• Training as directed by management when necessary to perform job
