Driver
The Moorings Team is seeking an Occasional Driver who will provide essential transportation services to our residents. This role involves transporting residents to on-campus appointments, off-campus medical appointments, and driving a 14-passenger bus. No CDL is required, making this a great opportunity for someone with a passion for helping others.

Essential Functions:
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous transportation services.
- Transport residents to and from on-campus locations and off-campus medical appointments.
- Operate a 14-passenger bus to transport residents and employees to various destinations.
- Communicate promptly with dispatchers and departments regarding transportation needs or cancellations.
- Ensure wheelchairs are clean, safe, and properly maintained.
- Document wheelchair inspections and any necessary repairs.
- Follow safe resident handling policies and demonstrate correct techniques when transporting residents.
- Maintain a positive and professional manner when interacting with residents, guests, and co-workers.
- Take initiative for personal performance and professional development.
- Wear the provided uniform shirt.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school graduate or G.E.D. required.
- Must have a State of Illinois Class B driver's license with no moving violations for three years prior to employment.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with older adults.
- Clerical skills for accurate communication and record-keeping.
- Ability to push residents up to 200 lbs. independently and continuously.
- Willingness to work days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed, in all weather conditions.
