Provides wirefeed structural welding support for the Facility. The job requires daily manufacturing responsibilities that are expected to be carried out with minimal supervision. Some job requirements are set in a team environment while others may be left to the individual to prioritize and schedule. A good working relationship is required with both office and factory employees.
Job responsibilities include:
•Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required
•Experience welding structural steel members using (mig) wirefeed processes
•Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
•Understand and follow proper safety instructions
•Ability to work in a team environment
•Experienced in 3f and 4f position welding
•Other duties may be added as needed by supervision. EDUCATION:
•This Position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder, as determined by the plant manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:
Specific Welding Skills
•Ability to pass a 3f and 4f weld test using the GMAW process on ¼" material
•Good verbal communication skills with other employees
•Positive attitude
•Open-minded with a vision for continuous improvement
•Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements. Specific Physical Skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb. when necessary
•Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary.
